Dr Teun Bousema

Teun Bousema's research focus is on understanding the transmission of Plasmodium falciparum from man to mosquito and developing interventions to prevent the spread of malaria. He holds appointments at the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, the Netherlands and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and he is involved in epidemiological and clinical studies in several African countries including Burkina Faso, Kenya and the Gambia. In 2013, Teun joined the prestigious Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Teun contributes to the malaria work of the Diagnostics Modelling Consortium.
