Dr Le Bao

Le Bao is an assistant professor of Statistics at the Penn State University, University Park right in the middle of Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington-Seattle with Adrian Raftery, 2006-2011 and  received his Master's degree in statistics at Dalhousie Univeristy, Canada. His Bachelor's degree was in applied mathematics at Peking University, China. Le's hometown is Beijing in China.

Le's research interests include: 

  • Bayesian methods;
  • Mixture models;
  • Stochastic modeling;
  • Networks;
  • computational methods;
  • Applications in health, environmental and social sciences.

Le contributes to the work on HIV incidence for the Diagnostics Modelling Consortium.
